PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the washing ability of a tableware washer/dryer with mechanical power and a detergent by improving the method of dissolving the detergent. SOLUTION: This tableware washer/dryer has a washing tub 2 including a rack 1 for storing articles to be washed, a nozzle 3 for jetting washing water, a pump 4 for pressurizing washing water, a lid 5 for closing the opening of the washing tub 2 and a water feed means 6 for feeding washing water to the washing tub, and an ultrasonic vibrator 7 is mounted in the washing tub 2. Dispersion of a detergent in water is promoted by the ultrasonic waves.
