PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gelled cosmetic containing an inorganic oxide, excellent in storage stability, smooth to the touch, fast adhered to the skin, providing coolness, and showing make-up effects, e.g. covering the textures and poilforamens. SOLUTION: This cosmetic contains (A) 0.05 to 1 wt.% of an alkyl acrylate/ methacrylate copolymer, (B) 0.05 to 3 wt.% of a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether and/or a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether phosphate having HLB of 4 to 10, (C) 0.1 to 15 wt.% of an inorganic oxide, (D) 1 to 25 wt.% of ethanol, and (E) 50 to 97 wt.% of water.
