PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge desired hot water from initial time of discharge even when it spends considerable period after hot water remaining in a liquid passage is kept hot and the hot water is temporarily discharged, by forming the liquid passage itself in an adiabatic structure. SOLUTION: A liquid passage 7 in a hot water heater is formed in an adiabatic structure. The liquid passage 7 is structured in double structure of an inner pipe 11 and an outer pipe 12, the lower end of the inner pipe 11 is inserted inside a coupling 6, and the upper end is inserted inside an upper coupling 13 of rubber or the like inserted outside a discharge passage 8. The lower end of the outer pipe 12 is inserted outside the coupling 6, and the upper end is inserted outside the upper coupling 13. An air layer 14 is provided between both inner and outer pipes 11 and 12. The both inner and outer pipes 11 and 12 are made of glass or plastic. Such liquid passage 7 is formed in an adiabatic structure due to the air layer 14 between inner and outer pipes 11 and 12, and therefore, hot water remained in the liquid passage 7 is kept hot.
