PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost and to improve workability by boring a through-hole at a flat part formed by crushing the top of a body in the shape of a hanging bell obtained by forming for a metallic plate from both sides of its radial direction. SOLUTION: Drawing work is executed to a brass belt member 1 of 0.2 mm thickness to projectingly provide a hollow body in the form of a hanging bell 2. Then reducing work is additionally executed to the top surface of the body 2 projectingly form an upper body in the form of a hanging bell 3 of a diameter shorter than that of the body 2. After then, the body 3 is crushed from both sides in the radial direction of the body 3 to form a flat part 4. In this case, it is not always required to make the body 3 and at this time, the top of the first body 2 is crushed from both sides of its radial direction to obtain a similar flat part. After then, a through-hole 5 is bored at the part 4 by boring work and finally, it is cut off from the member 1 to obtain a terminal metal fitting having the body 2 and the through-hole 5 for fixing.
