PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harvester for a root vegetable capable of performing the harvest of the root vegetable cultured with a mulching film M appropriately by using each of constituting elements of a harvest working part so as not to catch the mulching film. SOLUTION: This harvester for a root vegetable is provided by installing a mulch-restraining body 45 arranged in a state of making a contact with the ground below each of constituting elements of the harvest working part, a leaves-dividing device 8, a raking-in device 9, a pulling-out part 16 and a leaves- cutting off device 39. Since the root vegetable cultured by using the mulching film is harvested in a state of restraining the mulching film M with the multi- restraining body 45, it is possible to prevent catching the mulching film M with a leave-dividing tine 11 or a protrusion 13 of a raking-in belt 14 and also with a pair of endless rotary belt 15a of the pulling-out part 16 or the leaves- cutting off device 39 below it, and to perform the harvest of the root vegetable cultured with the mulching film appropriately.
