<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a lowering of the original performance of a head while ensuring the effective bonded area of a face plate and a head body. SOLUTION: This golf club head 1 is constituted by bonding a face plate 2 forming a part of a face F, through an adhesive to a face plate fitting part 4 forminq the periphery of an opening O formed on the face F side of a head body 3. The face plate fitting part 4 comprises a face peripheral edge part 6 having an internal wall surface 5 surrounding the face plate 2, and a face plate support piece 7 having a receiving face 9 projecting from the internal wall surface 5 to extend annularly along the face peripheral edge part 6 and receiving the back face 2b of the face plate 2 through an adhesive. The receiving face 9 cornprises a cut part 9a cut with the end face of a cutting edge of an end mill when cutting the internal wall surface 5 in accordance with an outer peripheral surface 2a of the face plate 2, and an uncut part 9b extending flush with the cut part 9a on tbe in.ner peripheral edge side of the cut part 9a.</p> |
