PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decomposition device for dioxins capable of effectively decomposing dioxins by bringing a dioxins-containing material into efficient contact with an amine compd. or an ammonium compd.. SOLUTION: The ash in a hopper 10 is supplied in a fixed quantity from a charging part 14 into a casing 22 by interposing a supplying device 12. Then the ash is sent to a reaction zone in the casing 22 by a screw 26 and agitated by an agitating blade 28 while being heated by a heater 32. An amine compd. or ammonium compd. is supplied to the ash at the charging part 14 or the reaction zone. The amine compd. or the ammonium compd. is reacted with the dioxins in the ash to decompose the dioxins. The treated ash is discharged at a discharging part 34 and gas is treated with a waste gas treating device 44. The agitating blade 28 hardly has the sending function of the ash and has only the agitating function of the ash.
