PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the mammalian cells that expresses the androgen receptor gene and can be used for evaluation of the action of chemical substances on the transcription control of the androgen receptor by transducing a specific DNA into the chromosome. SOLUTION: The objective cells can (A) express the androgen receptor gene and is prepared (B) by transducing the following DNAs into the chromosome, including (i) the reporter gene that is functionally linked to the downstream of the transcription control region constituted with a minimum promoter, for example, a promoter substantially comprising the TATA box, and (ii) the cell selection marker gene that is functional in mammalian cells on the same molecule. In a preferred embodiment, an androgen receptor gene that is functionally linked to the downstream of the promoter functional in mammalian cells and the stated DNA are introduced into the chromosome. |
