PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a manufacturing, in which no abnormality such as an uneven picture quality or the like occurs by electrochemically roughening the surface of an aluminum plate so as to heat-treat its surface under the state that smuts mainly made of aluminum hydroxide are produced. SOLUTION: In order to manufacture the aluminum support for a lithographic printing plate, the surface of an aluminum plate is roughened and heat-treated so as to execute a treatment for solving the aluminum plate by 0.01-5 g/m2. Next, successively a process, in which an anodizing is executed, is applied. As a result, streaks are hard to develop. Or, in the manufacture, the aluminum plate is chemically etched, electrochemically roughened in an acid aqueous solution and etched by 0.01-5 g/m2. Next, an electrochemical roughening, which is executed on the surface of the aluminum plate by flowing the quantity of electricity of 1-300 C/dm2 in a hydrochloric acid aqueous solution. And, after the aluminum plate being heat-treated, the aluminum plate is etched by 0.01-3 g/m2 and finally anodized.
