PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently treat a coil wire rod by constituting so as to circulate/ move plural slow cooling pots on a circulation route. SOLUTION: A slow cooling device 10 is arranged with a circulation route 26 where plural pots 20 circulate/move at a state the plural pots 20 are placed on trucks 28. The circulation route 26 consists of a first moving route 30, a second moving route 32, a third moving route 34 and a forth moving route 36. A supply station S1 of a coil wire rod is set to the first moving route 30. A lidding device 56 to place a lid body to the pot 20 is arrange to a lidding station S2 set to the downstream of the supply station S1. A preheating device 58 to preheat the pot 20 is arranged to a preheating station S3 set to the upstream of the supply station S1. A forth connection part between the first moving route 30 and the forth moving route 36 is arranged to a take out station S4 of the coil wire rod. A cooling device 68 to cool the pot 20 is arranged to a cooling station S5 set to the downstream to the forth moving route 36.
