PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform construction work based on the principle of maintaining the present conditions of a brick tunnel when repairing the tunnel and to increase the efficiency of laying bricks again. SOLUTION: A frame 11 having at its top a working floor 10 for repairing existing bricks 3a, 3a,... is installed which is formed in such a way as to freely travel on the base 4 of a brick tunnel 1 in the direction of the axis of the tunnel. A plurality of timbering members 5, 5,... spaced a predetermined distance apart from the tunnel wall 2 to maintain predetermined working spaces B, B... in the direction of the axis of the tunnel by means of connecting members 6, 6,... are erected on the working floor 10. Further, grippers 15 for fixing the frame 11 on the tunnel wall 2 are disposed.
