<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the assembly property of a ball lamp mechanism, as well as to improve the rigidity of a thrust transmitting passage. SOLUTION: A ball lamp mechanism 27 is installed at the inner side of the flange part 10 of an about C-shape claw part 4 striding over a disk rotor 2, an electric motor 12 is installed at the outer side, and the movable disk 33 of the ball lamp mechanism 27 and the rotor 15 of an electric motor 12 are spline connected. The rotation of a rotor 15 is converted into a linear movement by the ball lamp mechanism 27, and brake pads 6 and 7 are pressed to a disk rotor 2 by moving a piston 28. Since the thrust of the ball lamp mechanism 27 is transmitted directly to the brake pads 6 an 7 by the about C-shape claw part 4, the rigidity of a thrust transmission passage can be improved. And since a ball lamp unit 14 is formed by integrally forming the fixing disk 32, the movable disk 33, and the ball 34, of the ball lamp mechanism 27 by a case 54, those members can be assembled to a caliper main body 3 easily.</p> |
