PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance derivability by exactly estimating a driving force according to the loss factor of the engine torque of a vehicle having a continuously variable transmission. SOLUTION: Driving force estimation equipment for a vehicle which runs by transmitting engine torque via a continuously variable transmission to driving wheels is provided with an engine torque estimating means 57 for estimating the engine torque, an input torque dependent loss torque estimation means 54 for estimating input torque dependent loss torque to the continuously variable transmission based on the engine torque and the variable ratio of the continuously variable transmission, and a driving force estimation means 56 for estimating a vehicular driving force by deducting the input torque dependent loss torque from the engine torque.
