PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a device high in output, and high in efficiency by enhancing a fan efficiency for a vacuum cleaner equipped with an electrically driven air blower in which an air guide is provided for the outer circumferential part of an impeller, and the blower is drivingly rotated by a motor. SOLUTION: An impeller 5 having plural blades 4 is drivingly rotated by a motor 10, an air guide 7 having plural stationary vanes 6 over its surface, is provided for the outer circumferential part of the impeller 5, so that the impeller 7 is internally housed in by a fan case 1. It is so set up that a suction flow rate shall be at least 1.2 m3/min, rotation speed shall be at least 40,000 rpm, and the ratio (D2/D4) of the outer diameter D2 of the impeller 5 to the outer diameter D4 of the air guide 7, shall be at most 0.74.
