PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the wear of a valve plate or packing resulting from overtightening of a water faucet. SOLUTION: A mounting member 11 is non-rotatably fitted around the upper end of a water valve opening/ closing valve rod 2 which rises from within a water faucet in such a way as to be capable of threadably rising and falling. A lever 21 formed of a rod-shaped coil spring having appropriate rigidity and provided to resist curving is projected approximately horizontally and laterally from the mounting member 11 and the valve rod 2 is rotated via the coil spring. In the event that a water valve is overtightened, the coil spring can be curved against elasticity.
