PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a face mask which can protect the whole of a face from the scattering of powder of a grinding stone and paints by mounting the face mask during the work with a rotary grinding stone (grinder) and in painting work at home. SOLUTION: This face mask comprises a face panel 1 cut through the shape of the contour of a face, a front panel 2 covering the outside of the face, an upper lid 3 and a lower lid 4. A crescent-shaped, triangular or square space is made between the face panel 1 and the front panel 2 so as to be kept from contacting a nose while allowing breathing. This enables selecting of the space to match the purpose.
