PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new polypeptide which has a specific amino acid sequence, is a self-antigenic polypeptide which binds to a T cell receptor of a T cell which is infiltrated in the focus of chronic rheumatoid arthritis, and can be used as a medicine for chronic rheumatoid arthritis as an antagonist and so on. SOLUTION: This is a new polypeptide which has the amino acid sequence shown by the formula or an amino acid sequence modified by deleting, substituting, or adding one or more amino acid(s) from, in, or to the amino acid sequence, is a self-antigenic polypeptide which binds to a T cell receptor of a T cell which is infiltrated in the focus of chronic rheumatoid arthritis, and can be used as a medicine for chronic rheumatoid arthritis as an antagonist and so on. This polypeptide is obtained by extracting mRNA from a knee joint histionic specimen of a patient having chronic rheumatoid arthritis, synthesizing cDNA using the mRNA, carrying out T cell receptor Vβgene-specific PCR, followed by expressing the obtained gene by a method of the genetic engineering.
