PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To advantageously lessen the fatigue generated by accompanying curving movements at the time of carrying the feet with shoes having soles consisting of rubber or rubber-like elastic materials and having a relative thickness by forming an inclined heel part shapes inclining upward from near the front ends of the heel parts at the soles to the rear ends of the heel parts. SOLUTION: The sole 3 is formed to a double structure composed of a midsole 5 and an outsole 6. The midsole 5 is formed by using highly elastic materials, such as foamed ethylene vinyl acetate, foamed rubber and foamed polyurethane, having some thickness. Non-foamed elastic materials, such as rubber, thermoplastic urethane and nylon, may be used for the outsole 6 existing on the side in contact with the ground surface. The outsole 6 has the relatively small thickness nearly uniform over the entire part. The sole 3 inclines upward from a curving point P existing near the boundary with a shank 11 and the quantity h of the inclination is adequately in a range of 3 to 10 mm at the rear end 9 of the sole. The thickness t is preferably 10 to 30 mm at the curving point P.
