PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding device for arc welding, which is equipped with a magnetic field former. SOLUTION: This welding device is equipped with at least one magnetic field former 3 consisting at least partially of low residual magnetism. The magnetic field former 3 must be in a U-shape or in a rod shape. By this shape, a square area, that is, even in welding parts 1 having a square cross-section can be affected by a magnetic field.
