POLYURETHANE ELASTIC FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polyurethane elastic fiber that has excellent resistance to chlorine, light and hot water. SOLUTION: This elastic fiber is obtained by polymerizing a polymer polyol, an organic polyisocyanate and a chain extender. The polymer polyol comprises the polymer main chains bearing hydroxyl groups on the chain terminals where the polymer main chains is a saturated hydrocarbon polymer and is prepared by deprotecting a saturated hydrocarbon polymer bearing protected hydroxyl groups on the chain terminals.
