PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with punching holes having various sizes by one die by making the sizes of the square holes adjustable. SOLUTION: In this die, after combining slidably four die blocks 1 to 4 having cutting edges 1a to 4a on one side of the die block respectively so that the cutting edges 1a to 4a intersect one another in a hollow heraldic design, they are movably housed in a die holder 5 having a hollow square cylinder shaped frame body 6. While the die block 1 is fixed, by moving the die blocks 2 to 4 in the arrow direction shown in the figure within a horizontal plane, a square hole 14 is formed in the center of the die block. In that state, the die blocks 2 to 4 are pressed and fixed by set screws 12, 13, 15 and 16. Since the dimensions 14 of the square hole can be freely set by the moving magnitude of the die blocks 2 to 4, it can cope with even the dimensions of the various square holes of a trial piece and multi-item production in small quantities by using one die.
