PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound at high reaction rate and selectivity by reacting a carbamate with an amine compound in the presence of a base and a quaternary ammonium or phosphonium salt. SOLUTION: This compound of formula III is obtained by reacting an carbamate of formula I (R1 is H, an alkyl, an aralkyl, an aryl or a heterocyclic group; and R2 is an aryl) (e.g. phenylcarbamate) with an amine compound of formula II (R3 is an alkyl, an aralkyl, an aryl, a heterocyclic group or the like) (e.g. dimethylamine) in the presence of a base and a quaternary ammonium salt (e.g. tetramethylammonium chloride) or a quaternary phosphonium salt (e.g. tetramethylphosphonium chloride). It is preferable that 0.1-20 mol amine compound and 0.0001-0.5 mol base are applied to 1 mol carbamate and that 0.1-50 mol times quaternary ammonium or phosphonium salt is applied based on the base. |
