PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the strength of a porous plastic filter enough to endure a long use, by specifying the bulk density and the angle of repose of particles respectively in a porous plastic filter obtained by sintering and forming the particles of a thermoplastic material. SOLUTION: In the porous plastic filter obtained by sintering and forming the particles of a thermoplastic material, it is obtained by sintering and forming the particles of 0.40-0.55 g/cm3 bulk density and of 25-40 deg. angle of repose. The particles are preferably an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene. The plastic material is not limited to a specific material as long as it is a thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene, polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride giving a porous material by sintering. However, the ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene is preferred, in consideration of fluidity and a melting property in the course of sintering forming, and of the using and the environmental conditions such as separating and removing, easily, the fine particles sticking on the surface of the filter.
