Using of selenium-organic compounds of general formula (1) or (1') or a pharmaceutically acceptable salts of the compound wherein in formulas (1) and (1'): R<1> and R<2> independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a trifluoromethyl group, a nitro group, C1-C6 alkyl group or C1-C6 alkoxyl group, moreover R<1> and R<2> may be linked to each other to form a methylenedioxy group. R<3> represents an aryl group, an aromatic heterocyclic group, containing 5-7 membered cycloalkyl group, or 5-7-membered cycloalkenyl group, wherein the aryl group, aromatic heterocyclic group, cycloalkyl group, and/or the cycloalkenyl group may be substituted; R<4> represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a S-glutathione group, a -S-α-amino acid group, or an aralkyl (arylalkyl) group, which may be substituted at its aryl moiety. R<5> represent a hydrogen atom or a C1-C6 alkyl group; or moreover R<4> and R<5> may be linked to each other to form a single bond; Y represents an oxygen atom or a sulphur atom, n represents an integer of 0 to 5 inclusive, and the selenium atom may be oxidised, as a therapeutic agent for asthma treating. 2. A therapeutic agent for asthma treating comprising, as an active component, 2-phenyl-1,2-benzoisoselenazole-3(2H)-one or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 3. Use according claim 1 for treating of bronchial asthma. 4. Use according claim 2 for treating of bronchial asthma. 5. Use according claim 1 for suppressing late asthmatic responses. 6. Use according claim 2 for suppressing late asthmatic responses. |
