PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly judge not only a density balance between normal coloring materials, but a density balance between special coloring materials and a density balance between the normal coloring material and special coloring material. SOLUTION: In executing a recording operation by a recording means having at least one normal coloring material, and a special color of a color belonging to a color reproduction range by the normal coloring material, a plurality of test areas are formed of at least one coloring material among coloring materials set to the recording means with gradations changed, and moreover, a reference area of a predetermined single color in a color reproducible range of the coloring material used for the plurality of test areas is formed to a position adjacent to each test area, whereby a patch is formed. At least one of both patterns includes a special coloring material. |
