The invention relates to a method for producing a type form for rotogravure which uses a cylindrical printing roller, comprising cup-shapes which are arranged on the surface of said roller to receive the printing ink. The inventive method is characterised by the following steps: (a) The cup-shapes are completely filled with a light-sensitive material; (b) The roller surface is covered with a transparent film; (c) The printing roller is exposed which subsequently creates areas of hardened light-sensitive material and areas of liquid light-sensitive material. The light-sensitive material in the liquid areas clings to the film by adhesion; (d) The film is removed, whereby parts of the liquid, light-sensitive material which have adhered to the film in droplets are removed from the cup-shapes.
