The connector has a sleeve (6,7) and a holder element (12), engaging via a seal (56,58) on a tube end (8) inserted into it. The sleeve contains a support body (10) at least partially surrounding the holder element. The support body has an inner surface (28), which at least partially decreases in size towards the free sleeve end (24), to engage on the holder element. The support body is turnable and/or axially moveable. It is axially secured in the sleeve by a securing element (20) located esp. in a ring groove (22) near the free sleeve end.
