674,521. Typewriters. PAILLARD SOC. ANON. Oct. 23, 1950 [Dec. 28, 1949], No. 25750/50. Class 100 (iv). Aligning type-heads on levers. A device for correctly positioning a type-head 1 ready for fixing to a type-lever 5 comprises a block 2 with two cylindrical surfaces 7, 8 of the same curvature as the typewriter platen for determining a parallel relation of the type-surfaces with the platen, and a projection 9 as shown engaging with a recess 10 in the type-head. Alternatively the projection may be formed on the type-head so that it does not project as far as the type surfaces and which engages in a recess in the block 2. A clearance is formed between the end of the projection 9 and the end of the recess 10 so that the type-head rests only on the two cylindrical surfaces 7, 8. The projection 9 may be of various shapes. |
