A rotary type powder compression molding machine including a rotary disk (3) installed in a frame (1) such that it is rotatable through a vertical shaft (2), the rotary disk (3) being provided with a mortar (4) having a mortar ho le (41), an upper pounder (5) and a lower pounder (6) that are vertically movab ly held above and below the mortar (4), it being arranged that with the pounder s inserted in the mortar hole (41), the upper and lower pounders (5, 6) are moved under pressure toward each other, whereby powder charged in the mortar hole (41) is compression-molded between the upper pounder lower end surface (5a) and the lower pounder upper end surface (6a), wherein the compression molding machine is provided with a small-quantity liquid spraying device (LS ) for spraying a small quantity of liquid lubricant (L) for substantially uniform adhesion to the upper pounder lower end surface (5a), the lower pounder upper end surface (6a) and the mortar hole inner peripheral surface (41a).
