The invention relates to a vapour barrier for use in the heat insulation of buildings, especially for use on carrying out heat insulation in new buildings and for renovation of heat insulation in old buildings, respectively. According to the invention, the vapour barrier carries out vapour exchange in various environmental conditions and is produced by using as essential material a material having vapour diffusion resistance depending on the environmental humidity and besides, sufficient tensile and tear strength.
