The invention relates to an ignition hearth with adjustable lamellar burner, applicable to igniting coke in the agglomerating charge. The hearth comprises a lamellar burner in the shape of a cased beam (1), which, by swinging with a mechanism (2) and displacing vertically with a screw-nut mechanism (5), ensures the required ignition time, with the maintenance of the maximum flame temperature zone at the layer surface, and two bolts (6) and (7) adjustable in horizontal and vertical plane, for maintaining the mutual optimum position between the enclosure and the layer in order to provide a maximum heat yield, under the conditions of thickness variation of the material layer loaded in the machine, thus lowering the fuel consumption.
