<p>A metal mold pressing device of a press for bending a plate material inserted between an upper metal mold and a lower metal mold, wherein a crank mechanism (10) on which the upper metal mold (8) is installed vertically movably through a retaining ram (13) and to which the upper end of a vertical arch-shaped thick spring (6) installed on the upper half part of the main frame is connected through a crank pin (17) is provided on an upper half part of the main frame (1) of vertically integrated type so as to give an elastic deformation to the arch-shaped thick spring (6) by a rotating force produced near the dead point of the crank pin (17) in order to press the upper metal mold (8) against the lower metal mold (9) by the resilient force of the arch-shaped thick spring, whereby a pressing excellent in accuracy and stability is enabled.</p> |
