The device has an acoustic input device, to receive a spoken command from a user. An interpreter translates the spoken command into a control command, which is delivered to a control unit. Preferably, microcontroller is included, which tests the control commands, and delivers them to the control unit. An Independent claim is included for a method to control the laser device using the system.
