The car sliding roof has a roof element (2,3) which slides on a guide rail (17) in the direction of travel, for opening and closing of the roof. A stop (7) is situated and adjustable between slider and blocking position above a movement boundary position. The stop has a guiding part (8) and clamping part (9) which is adjustable in relation to the guide part.
