Tabletted controlled release particulate enzyme preparations for use in dishwashing machines, based on a dispersion of a liquid enzyme preparation in an encapsulating material. Tabletted cleaning agent for use in dishwashing machines, comprising builder substances, enzymes and optionally other ingredients, characterised in that a region of the tabletted body consists of: (a) one or more encapsulating substances with a melting point of above 30 deg C; (b) one or more liquid enzyme preparations dispersed in the encapsulating substance(s); and (c) optionally additional active ingredients and/or assistants.
