A sensor detects precipitation at a given distance from the point's heating, provided by an heating element (3) and a temperature sensor (4), which are thermically coupled. The temperature characteristic is defined by the sensed temperature values before, during and after heating and via the heating element. Precipitation is evaluated from these data.
