<p>An articulator (20) for positioning a tool (70) during a surgical procedure, the articulator (20) having a longitudinally extending body; a plurality of transverse grooves (22A, 22B) extending inwardly from opposite lateral sides of the longitudinally exending body; and a plurality of recesses (23A, 23B) extending inwardly from the opposite lateral sides of the longitudinally extending body; the plurality of recesses (23A, 23B) defining an articulation control wire lumen (24), and a tool control wire lumen (26).
