<p>A thermal protector comprising a fixed plate (10) having at the fore end thereof a fixed contact (11) and at the rear end thereof a first external connection terminal (12), a movable plate (30) having an elasticity and a movable contact (36) at the fore end thereof brought into contact with the fixed contact (11) by the elasticity, a second external connection terminal (50) connected to the rear end of the movable plate (30), and a bimetal plate (40) locked at the fore end thereof with the movable plate (30) and reversed when a set temperature is exceeded to drive the movable plate (30) in a direction of separating the movable contact (36) from the fixed contact (11), wherein the movable plate (30) has at a part thereof a dual structure formed by folding to thereby practically lower an internal resistance due to an increase in a cross section area.</p> |
