PURPOSE: A method for driving a degaussing circuit is provided to first execute a positive characteristic(PTC) thermistor to make a normal screen displayed so as to remove the danger of fire and regulate a degaussing time. CONSTITUTION: Whether a TV set is turned on/off is decided. If the TV set is turned on, degaussing is first performed. Whether the degaussing is completed is decided. If so, power is supplied to a TV circuit. Before supplying power to the TV circuit, a path of current supplied to a degaussing unit performing degaussing is opened, when the degaussing is completed.
