PURPOSE: A method for displaying transmitting/receiving states of sound signals in a speaker phone mode of a cellular phone is provided, so that users can easily recognize the transmitting/receiving states by displaying the states on a displayer with images or characters. CONSTITUTION: If cellular phone power is on, a cellular phone controller examines whether a current ear microphone is connected through a microphone connector. If so, the controller operates a microphone mode. The controller examines whether a call is received. If so, the controller controls a ring unit to output a ring sound to outside. If a user inputs a speech forming key by responding to the ring sound, the controller forms a speech path between a receiving subscriber and an originating subscriber. The controller examines whether a call between the two subscribers is completed. If so, the controller completes all operations for the call.
