PURPOSE: A method for driving an induction motor with a function of an electric current limit is provided to limit the electric current and save the cost of the purchasing, maintenance and repair by a control system of firing angle with using Thyristor or Triac CONSTITUTION: An induction motor includes an upper control system(1), an I/O(2), a control system(3), a converter(4), a Thyristor or Triac (5), and a motor(6). After I/O(2) receives an operation and stop signal of the upper control system(1), it sends a control signal to the control system(3) and in case that the control signal has an operation order, a control signal is sent to the control system(3) and the electric current, which flows in the induction motor, is read from the converter(4) and afterwards the electric power elements(5) are controlled by calculating the firing angle. By that Thyristor or Triac controlled by the control system controls the quantity of the electric current and the converter for detecting the electric current flowing in the induction motor transmits the detection value to the control system, the electric current flowing in the induction motor, is controlled.
