PURPOSE: A regulating valve is provided to achieve an economic advantage and improved marketability while controlling a pressure of a fuel being fed to a pump chamber of an injection pump to remain high. CONSTITUTION: A regulating valve mounted at a portion of a feed pump(5) outlet within an injection pump housing(18) of a diesel engine and which regulates a pressure of a fuel being supplied from the feed pump to a pump chamber of an injection pump, comprises a valve chamber(17) arranged within the injection pump housing and which has at an upper portion thereof a return channel(19) connected to a fuel inlet of the feed pump and at a lower portion thereof a supply channel(20) connected to a fuel discharge of the feed pump, a plunger(21) mounted within the valve chamber so as to divide the valve chamber into upper and lower portions, the plunger having a lower surface with a tilt, an upper surface being supported by a return spring(22) arranged between the plunger and the inner upper surface of the upper valve chamber and an interior having a flow channel(23) formed along a center line, an operating rod(24) having a lower end integrally formed with a center of a top surface of the plunger and an upper end protruded outwardly from the injection pump, the operating rod having a channel outlet extended from the flow channel formed within the plunger, and a plunger rotating member arranged at an upper end of the operating rod.
