The damper springs, used to dampen the vibrations created in the transmission, comprise two symmetrically spring sets located in the damper housing. One end of each damper spring set are driven by stoppers formed integrally on the primary flywheel while the other end of each spring set drive the driven fingers of the secondary flywheel. The primary and secondary flywheels have integral projections that prevent the damper springs from being excessively compressed and damaged. The dual mass flywheel has a primary flywheel(101) mounted on the crankshaft(103) of an engine, a secondary flywheel(105) connected to an input transmission shaft by a clutch and mounted to rotate on the hub of the primary flywheel. Damper springs(107), mounted in a damper housing(108) formed in the primary flywheel to transmit torque while absorbing vibration to driven fingers(109) formed on the secondary flywheel.
|
