PURPOSE: A flat display is provided to prevent a drop of a voltage and to accomplish a high resolution. CONSTITUTION: A flat display includes a primary plate(a front plate or an anode plate, 20) and a secondary plate(a back plate or a cathode plate, 22) having a determined space between two plates(20, 22) and is formed as a sealed container. An anode electrode layer(24) and a main cathode electrode layer(28) is formed on a side of each plates(20, 22). A fluorescent layer R, G, B(26) is formed on the anode electrode layer(24). The main cathode electrode layer(28) has at least one or more island type electrode(28b) within a cathode electrode line(28a). A primary dielectric layer(32) with a resistance layer(30) having a constant thickness is layered on the main cathode electrode layer(28). The primary dielectric layer(32) and the resistance layer(30) are formed in a crossing area of the main cathode electrode layer(28) and a gate electrode(34) which is arranged orthogonal type on the main cathode electric layer(28). The primary dielectric layer(32) includes at least one or more contacting hole(32a) to contact the resistance layer(30) with a subsidiary cathode electrode layer(36) formed on the primary dielectric layer(32). Between the gate electrode(34) and the subsidiary cathode electrode layer(36), a secondary dielectric layer(40) having a through hole(40a) is formed.
