PURPOSE: A paper discharging device for an image forming apparatus is provided to conveniently discharge a printing paper, thereby preventing a paper jam and increasing a reliability of product. CONSTITUTION: The paper discharging device for an image forming apparatus comprises a driving portion, a discharging roller(10) rotated by the driving portion to discharge a printing paper a plurality of star wheels contacted with the discharging roller by a desired pressure to guide the discharged paper, and a plate type paper transmitting guide(20,21,22) disposed at a position corresponding to the star wheels to guide the printing paper so that the printing paper is entered between the discharging roller and the star wheels. In the device, the paper transmitting guides disposed at both sides of a center paper transmitting guide is formed to be gradually shorter than the center paper transmitting guide so that the printing paper is pressed and guided in order.
