Electrically powered transport refrigeration unit

Transportable refrigeration unit is mounted on the front wall of a transport trailer. It comprises a compressor, condenser, evaporator, fan assembly with an electric motor providing an air flow over the heat exchangers and the engine driven generator assembly. The generator assembly produces at least one AC voltage at one or more frequencies and delivers sufficient power to operate the compressor and the fan motor. The generator assembly is based on a synchronous machine.
