PURPOSE: An internet telephone device and method using USB(universal serial bus) port is provided to prevent a generation of a delay time to process a sound by connecting an internet telephone to the USB port of computer directly. CONSTITUTION: An internet telephone(121) has a transmitting unit(132) and a receiving unit(140). The transmitting unit(132) processes an analogue voice signal inputted from a transmitter(or a microphone) and transmits a processed signal to a computer(101). The transmitting unit(132) has an analogue/digital converting unit(134), a control unit(136) and a USB port interface unit(138). The analogue/digital converting unit(134) converts the analogue voice signal into a digital data. The control unit(136) processes a signal inputted from the analogue/digital converting unit(134). The USB port interface unit(138) transmits a signal inputted from the control unit(136) to the computer(101). The digital voice signal is transmitted by an operating program for internet telephone to the other party. The receiving unit(140) has a USB port interface unit(138), a control unit(136), a jitter compensate unit(143) and a digital/analogue converting unit(142). The internet telephone(121) has a clock unit(144) and a power unit(146).
