PURPOSE: A structure for supporting a cathode-ray tube(CRT) of a projection TV, is provided to fix the CRT by using a highly elastic wire supporting and fixing the CRT, excluding a CRT bracket of a type completely covering the back side of the CRT. CONSTITUTION: While putting a cathode-ray tube(CRT,11) on a coupler(12), a horizontal unit(13a) on the both sides of a CRT holder(13) is inserted into hanging units(14a,15a) of fixing brackets(14,15). The fixing brackets, on which the CRT holder is fixed, are positioned on bosses of the coupler and are fastened via bolts(16). When the fixing brackets(14,15) are fixed on the coupler(12), the CRT(11) is fixed on the coupler(12) while a fixing unit(13c) of the CRT elastically supports the back side of the CRT, under the state that the horizontal unit(13a) of the CRT holder(13) is fixed on the fixing brackets(14,15). The CRT holder is a wire type, therefore the holder itself is elastically supported and fixed on the coupler of the CRT.
