A first recording device records one moving picture in at least one recording increment. A second recording device records a still picture corresponding to the moving picture in keeping with the recording increment of the moving picture. A third recording device records information about the moving picture being recorded by the first recording device. A personal computer (1) accepts signals from an antenna (2) that receives radio waves from TV broadcasting stations, and records as well as reproduces images and voice (i.e., program images and voice) based on the signals. The personal computer (1) also accepts analog signals from a VCR (3), or digital data sent from a digital video cassette recorder (DVCR) (4) or from a DVCR (5) equipped with an image pickup function over networks (6-1,6-2). The personal computer (1) then records and reproduces the images and voice represented by the received analog signals or digital data. An independent claim is included for: (a) a medium for causing an information processing apparatus to execute of program (b) an information managing method.
