DENATURED UNSATURATED POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A denatured unsaturated polyester resin composition which has an excellent adhesive property to a thermoplastic resin and stability for good size and a method for preparing the same are provided. CONSTITUTION: The denatured unsaturated polyester resin composition comprises an unsaturated polyester resin composition, an urethane prepolymer, a vinyl acetate polymer, a reactive monomer and an acrylonitrile monomer. The method comprises steps of: (i) preparing an unsaturated polyester by reacting a polybasic acid and a polyvalent alcohol and then dissolving the unsaturated polyester in a first reactive monomer to prepare an unsaturated polyol; (ii) preparing an urethane prepolymer by mixing the unsaturated polyol with a diisocyanate in the existence of a second reactive monomer; and (iii) mixing the unsaturated polyester resin composition, the urethane prepolymer, a vinyl acetate polymer, a third reactive monomer and an acrylonitrile monomer.
